The Question You Should Be Asking More Often

Why?
·
One of the most powerful questions we can ask.
·
Probably one of the most underutilized questions we should be asking in many cases too.
·
Whether it be in fitness or in life, the question of “Why” can provide so much clarity and allow us to act in accordance with our values.
·
Health and fitness. Why? Why are you coming into the gym? Why are you starting a fitness program? Why are you hiring a nutrition coach or trying to clean up your diet?
·
If your answer to these sounds something like, “Because I want to get in shape,” we’re going to ask you to go deeper.
·
Like way deeper.
·
“I want to lose 10lbs.”
·
Deeper.
·
Actually, if we keep asking “Why” and continue to dig and honestly reflect, we’ll be able to peel the onion back far enough to get to the true answer.
·
And it might be scary. You might feel embarrassed to admit it. And that’s okay. Vulnerable does not mean weak. Vulnerability builds power; it builds freedom.
·
See, when we get to the root of what we truly want from exercise, health and fitness, it will allow us to stay on track.
·
To be accountable. To see progress. To gain results. And to maintain those results for the long-term.
·
So today, ask yourself, “Why?” And then ask it again.
·
And again.
·
Peel back the onion. You are worth this journey. You are worth the investment. You are worthy.
